Polleverywhere • . Steve, I subscribed to that polling website (polleverywhere.com – you gave to me last summer) where I can show an AP question and have the kids vote on the correct response. I should show you how it works sometime but it’s free (as long as the kids have free texting). Lots better than getting expensive clickers in my opinion. Thanks! Karen
iPads • Free Apps – Expensive Apps • Flash Cards • Math • Reading • Proloquo2Go • Fine Motor Skills
Document Cameras • Avermedia • Snap Shots • Videos • I use my document camera every day. As an art and digital design teacher, my doc cam makes it easy to demonstrate skills like drawing techniques or changing f-stops on a camera, and the entire class can see what I am doing on the projector. I can display something from my computer at the same time like an assignment rubric, a video tutorial, or the day's lesson plan. My doc cam can be used as a scanner, a digital camera, or even a video recorder. I use my doc cam to take photos of student artwork, create step-by-step demonstrations, and in a pinch, scan documents I don't have digital copies of - all of which are saved to my computer to be uploaded to my teacher website. The document camera is like the chef's knife of technology in the classroom; it serves so many purposes, it's practically indispensable. - Kyle Genther, Newport High School Teacher
