independent reading
Independent Reading
  • Reading that will be done in the students’ own time and independently
  • Every Thursday a Reading Log is due
    • 3-4 sentences summarizing what they read for the week
  • Students will have about a month, or a little more, to read each novel
    • In the end, we will do an in-class project based on their independent reading
  • Sometimes, I will tell them they need to be reading a specific genre.

    • 90-81 = B
    • 80-71 = C
    • 70-63 = D
    • 62-0 = F
  • Grades will be listed as numbers on the report card.
