  4. The word “breakfast” “Breakfast” can be broken down into two words: Break Fast Literally meaning “breaking the fast.”

  5. What does “Fast” mean? • An extended period during which the body is not getting any food, for instance while you sleep. • Every morning the fast must be broken for the body to regain it’s energy.

  6. Breakfast… • Is an important meal for your body and your health. • “Recharges your batteries”: Gives your body fuel in the form of calories (energy). • Provides essential nutrients to your body.

  7. Breakfast… • Helps you concentrate and work well in school. • Helps you to get good grades. • Gives you the energy you need for sports and activities.

  8. Eat breakfast every morning to get the energy you need to work well!
