How to Make Mango Salad Recipe The best thing that you can do when you love cooking is trying out different things — Moving an ingredient here and there, experimenting, and creating new fantasies. I love food (Of course all do), I love cooking, and I love Mangoes. And these are the reasons enough to try something that satisfies your taste buds. It’s like everyone loves mangoes — eating them raw, having a smoothie, a chutney, or in any way. So, why not try something new? That’s tangy, that has the sweetness of mangoes and a little more spiciness. So here I am with a new recipe — A ​Mango Salad recipe​. This dish is perfect for an evening dinner with your loved ones. This has a lot of mangoes in it to satisfy your cravings.

It is one of the best side dishes in the season of Mangoes that everyone relishes. Though anyone can hardly concentrate when you have mangoes in front of you — But this dish looks so colorful, bright, and tempting that you will notice each of the

The salad recipe, or shall I say simple Mango recipe is so easy to make with little to no effort, and basic ingredients of your kitchen. My five-ingredient recipe — I make this recipe with 5 ingredients and with a little more things that I use for the dressing of the mango salad. Let’s know the Ingredients. The ingredients that go into this salad are Mangoes, Basil, Onion, Bell Pepper (I use Red Bell pepper, and it goes best with the mangoes), and Cilantro. If you do not have the Basil — Add a little more Cilantro and if you don’t have the Cilantro either then add parsley or mint.

  4. The thing you should know - 1. Mangoes: There are a lot and different kinds of Mangoes available. Since it’s the season of mangoes you can find Irwin, Ataulfo, and many more. But if you ask me, This Mango Salad recipe goes best with Alphonso’s. 2. Chili Flakes: A dash of chili flakes — Okay! Not a dash but a little more of chili flakes add spiciness to the dish. You will find the exact proportion in the details below. But you can always lower it down or add a little more to adjust your taste. 3. Cilantro: Cilantro adds a nice flavor and freshness to the salad. If Cilantro is not available, you can add parsley or mint leaves. I prefer substituting it for Mint leaves. Where Cilantro is on the citrus side but mild, the mint leaves are stronger and have a cooling effect.

  5. 4. Oil: This recipe asks for a little oil for the dressing. Though Olive oil is healthy and often used in salad dressings, I suggest you go for something with a neutral taste as Olive oil can be on the dominating side. 5. Basil: Basil has its own taste and flavor. But don’t worry if in case you do not have basil. Skip it altogether and add a little more Cilantro or the substitutes. Making of the Mango Salad This simple Mango recipe is a Side dish. Something that everyone loves, from your little kid to your lovely grandmother. This recipe serves typically four proportions. You can double the ingredients or *3 as required. Preparation Time: 15 Minutes

Total Time: 15 Minutes Servings: 4 Ingredients for the Recipe ● Mangoes: Ripen Mangoes, 3 in number, peeled and sliced ● Red Bell Pepper: 1, Sliced ● Red Onion: 1/4th of the Onion, sliced thinly ● Basil: 1/4th Cup, Thinly chopped ● Cilantro: 1/4th Cup, Chopped roughly Ingredients for Mango Salad Dressing The things you require for a Mango Salad recipe are: ● Lime Zest: From 1 Lime

  7. ● Lime juice: Approximately from 2 lemons or 1/4th Cup of lime juice ● White Sugar: 2 teaspoons of sugar ( I prefer castor sugar as it is easy to whisk and blend with the ingredients ) ● Red Pepper flakes: 1/8 Teaspoon. You can adjust the quantity as per your taste. ● Salt: 1/4th of Teaspoon ● Vegetable Oil: 1 Tablespoon ● Grounded pepper Steps to make the Mango Salad: 1. Take all the ingredients — The Mangoes, Cilantro or parsley, basil leaves, red bell pepper, and Onion in one bowl. Mix all the ingredients. For better mixing, toss them properly.

  8. 2. To prepare the dressing for the salad -Take everything and combine them. All of it — the lime zest, lime juice, sugar, pepper flakes, salt, and the oil in one single bowl. 3. Whisk all the ingredients for combining well. 4. Pour the dressing over the mixed salad ingredients and serve immediately. Points to Note: 1. Do not combine the dressing and the salad ingredients with each other if you don’t intend to use them immediately. Refrigerate both the ingredients and the salad dressing if you intend to use them later. 2. Slice everything thinly, the Onion, the Parsley, Basil, and the Red Bell Peppers. 3. For Mangoes, I slice them up thinly in long slices but not as thin as Onion — a little on the thicker side.

  9. 4. If you do not like Cilantro — You can always replace it with mint leaves. Nutritional Value This simple mango recipe is not only tasty but healthy and higher on the nutrition side too.
