  1. “But let a man examine himself…” (1 Cor.11:28) “Examine yourselves as to whether you are in the faith. Test yourselves. Do you not know yourselves, that Jesus Christ is in you? --- unless indeed you are disqualified.” (2 Cor.13:5) • Self-examination is about our identity; who we are in relation to Christ (2 Cor. 13:5; Phil. 1:21, 23). • There is a price to pay when we don’t examine ourselves (2 Cor.13:5; 1 Tim. 4:16; 1 Cor.9:27; 2 Tim.2:12).   2. Come to terms with the fact that God knows all things! Psa.44:21; Heb.4:13; 1 Cor.4:5 • Be sure to judge yourself by God’s perfect standard! John 12:48; Matt.15: 1-9; 2 Tim.3:14-17 • Go as deep and as far in self-examin-ation as you can go! Ezk.11:5; Heb.4: 12; Psa.51:10; 139:23-24; Matt.5:8 • Always be on guard against self-decep-tion! Self-examination should lead you to become a Christian: • Believe in Jesus as God’s Son (John 8:24) • Turn from your sins (Acts 17:30-31) • Confess your faith in Christ (Matt.10:32-33) • Be baptized for the remission of sins (Acts 2:38) • Live a faithful Christian life (1 Cor.15:58) • Self-examination should lead you to return to Christ: • Turn from your sins (Acts 8:22) • Confess your sins to God and pray for forgiveness (1 John 1:9; Acts 8:22) The Call To Personal Examination
