About Our School Oppegård High School is located in Kolbotn, a suburb of Oslo. It has got 600 pupils and somewhere between 60 and 70 teachers. Due to a shortage of classrooms we're experiencing some problems finding rooms for all of our classes, so some times we've got breaks of up to three hours in the middle of a school day, which is agitating. Our school weeks have got 30 hours each, which isn't too bad. However, some of our days are eight hours long, which is quite tiresome. We don't really have a lot of homework at the moment, but we've got a lot of tests. The pupils at our school are all between the age15 and 21, but most of them are between 15/16 and 19 years old.
Our Subjects • English • Norwegian • Elective language • Mathematics • Social Studies • Geography • P.E. • Science
The Classroom During class we’re up to 30 pupils and one teacher in each classroom.
The Library Our library contains several books, and there are also computers which we can use at any time.
The Cafeteria We have a large cafeteria where you can buy both food and drinks. There is also a stage in the cafeteria, which is used on different occasions.
School Compound Because of the lack of classrooms, we have some classes in temporary rooms outside the school proper (picture above).
