Five pennies trade a nickel.. Two nickels trade a dime.. Two dimes and a nickel trade a quarter every time.. 4 quarters trade a dollar, and that is quite a lot.. A dollar in my pocket is exactly what I've got!

    1. Making Change Learn this song and counting money can be easy! I teach this song to my second graders to help them learn how to trade equal amounts of coins. If I use this presentation and then leave it playing during math class I think it would be very effective. After the children learn the song I would like to record their voices to add to the presentation.     2. Five pennies trade a nickel. The song is sung to the tune of “Miss Suzy.” Students will use plastic coins while we sing the song.
