  3. ESD (future involvement/ collaboration project) • OMEP was one of the only two organizations in the field of early childhood education that were invited to present at UNESCO and UN; • Encourage all committees to provide good examples of ESD practices.

  4. UN representatives and global projects  Convenor: Judith Wagner

  5. UN representatives and global projects • Form a new group on refugee project; • In the next few months, OMEP will come up with some new projects; • The ExCo will distribute information when it is available.

  6. Teacher education and exchange Convenor: Eunhye Park; Rapporteur: Ingrid Engdahl

Teacher education and exchange • Will form an OMEP teacher education and exchange network; • Suggest to have a working group on teacher education and exchange at each World Assembly; • Elaborate on the Gothenburg Recommendations for ESD learning on Teacher training based on a holistic view, combining ESD + children’s rights + educare + play; • Collect the exchange programme examples and initiatives and make them known to OEMP committees and members; • OMEP representatives among the 48 countries pointed out by GPE should join the local (i.e. national) committees for the GPE projects.

Governance/ Finance/ Strategic direction • Prioritize things which the ExCo should focus on; • Update the Administrative Guide; • Understand the priorities and action plans of national committees. May survey national committees; • Position of OMEP in policymaking? Advocacy will need careful strategies. • Encourage national committees to have their own websites and link to the World OMEPwebsite. • Have an “activity bank” to share activity ideas; • Strategies for attracting members should be further explored. How to attract youngteachers? • May consider focusing on teacher exchange at the moment as this is what every country able to do. • Registration of our trademark
