Trends in Recruiting • Emphasis on recruiting at club sport and camps, as opposed to interscholastic events. • Recruiting process begins earlier and earlier every year. • Early commitment process is problematic for retention rates. • Significant decline in multi-sport athletes. • Significant financial investment by parents.

  3. NCAA Recruiting Calendars • Women’s Basketball: • August = No recruiting allowed, whatsoever. • Fall - Winter = Mostly evaluation days. • May, June, July = Virtually no recruiting allowed. • Softball: • August - October = All recruiting days. • December = No recruiting. • January – July = All recruiting days.

  4. NCAA Recruiting Calendars • Volleyball: • July – November = All recruiting days. • December = No recruiting. • January – July = Mostly recruiting days. • Women’s Lacrosse: • July – November = All recruiting days. • December = No recruiting. • January – July = Mostly recruiting days.
