Provision of hand cleansing gel Hair tied back Security pads on doors No nail polish Window locks Increase in number of sinks with washing facilities Intercom systems Appropriate protective clothing Posters showing handwashing guidance No jewellery Monitoring keys

  7. Safeguarding the rights of service users They are all vulnerable to abuse, due to their age or medical conditions. We need to safeguard the rights of people who use health and social care services. What do all of these people have in common? Care practitioners have a duty of care which is determined and influenced by legislation.
