  3. Background • Joint Planning Agreement (JPA) approved in 1989 • JPA provides for: • Annexation boundary (Study Areas) • Joint land use designations • Reciprocal notification requirements • Expires December 2013

  5. Proposed Amendment • Revises Joint Land Use Map to create Study Area 3 – Designated as Mixed Use • Allows properties owned by Don Reid Ford to be annexed into City of Maitland in order to unify its holdings in one jurisdiction • Extends JPA agreement term to December 31, 2018
