  2. LENGTH OF LIFE • EXPERTS HAVEN’T YET DETERMINED HOW LONG FLAMINGOS LIVE. AT THE PHILADELPHIA ZOO ONE LIVED FOR 144 YEARS.

  3. HABITAT • THE FLAMINGO LIVES IN THE SOUTHERN PARTS OF THE TEMPERATE REGION, AND SUB-TROPICAL,AND TROPICAL REGIONS OF THE OLD AND NEW WORLD.

  4. REPRODUCE • THE FLAMINGO BREED IN COLONIES. THEY CONSTRUCT A MOUND OF MUD RISING FROM SEVERAL INCHES TO ABOUT A FOOT OR MORE IN HEIGHT, ON TOP OF WHICH A SINGLE LARGE CHALKY EGG IS LAID. THEY SIT ON THE EGG UPON IT IS HATCH,AND USUALLY SKIP A YEAR IN THE BREEDING CYCLE.
