  2. The plan: • Video clip of the day • Introduce Physics 12 Projects • Return & Correct quizzes

  3. Projects • The physics project has a total value of 10%. • There is NO science fair for grade 12 students thus this project takes it’s place. • Due: December 1st, 2011

  4. Projects • Option A (Video): Create a fun and exciting Better than Bill Nye type video project focused on one or more of the themes for physics 12. • Will be shown to class. • Minimum of 3 minutes per group member. • Max group size of 5. • Hilariousness and scientific accuracy strongly encouraged. • Playable in VLC player

  5. Projects Option B (Rube Goldberg Live) Create a Rube Goldberg Machine that lasts for a minimum of 45 seconds completes a simple task. • You do NOT need to set it up in class. • Should be video taped and shown to the class. • Max group size of 4.

Projects Option C (Rube Goldberg Digital) Create a Rube Goldberg Machine that lasts for a minimum of 2 minutes which completes a simple task in a digital world. • Should be video taped or recorded. • Playable in VLC player • Max group size of 2. • Program: Algodoo, Phun or Protal or talk with me about another program you would like to use.

  9. If you decide to combine the two: • 30 second of real life motion • 1 minute of digital

  11. Projects Option D (Presentation): Take your favourite sport, hobby or something with significant motion and talk about the physics involved in that activity. • 5 minutes per presenter. • Presentation must include: • Images • Videos • Graphs • ICA for students
