  3. CUBA Preliminary investigation for feasibility study of the pumping power station in Pinar sel Río province (East of Havana). Our engineer Mr. Jaroslav Bříza visited the site together with the designer from Hydroprojekt design office. HUNGARY Design of reinforced fill structures on peat for the motorway along S coast of the Balaton lake. FEM modelling of settlement.

  4. JORDAN Expert study of the landslide on newly constructed 4-lane highway (Amman city ring road). The expertise was required by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Public Works and Housing. The expertise may continue with monitoring of the landslide and supervision of the stabilisation measures.

  5. SERBIA and MONTE NEGRO Consulting for Institut za Puteve, Beograd on design of reinforced soil structures and use of fly ash in the construction of embankments of highways. UKRAINE Lecturing on design and application of reinforced soil structures, use of geosynthetics and their testing.Solution of some practical projects.

  6. QATAR Pile load tests on the construction of the new quay for oil tankers on the Halul Island off the Qatar coast. Two-men team from SG GEOTECHNIKA made the tests up to 500 t with our equipment. Expertise of the construction of two tunnels on the Sayhut-Nishtun road between Yemen and Oman. First expertise was done by Mr. Veselý, second expertise by Mr. Sloboda. YEMEN

  8. FRANCE Evaluation of the field data from the Sakhalin site investigation with particular aim on sand liquefaction. One of our engineers (Mr. Gajdoš) worked for 2 months in the SAIPEM head office in Paris. NETHERLANDS Laser scanning of the natural reserve in Castricum. The work was arranged directly with Mr. B. Mommers from Geo- en Vastgoedinformatie, Arnhem.

  9. RUMANIA Joint venture of SG GEOTECHNIKA and ARCADIS France for VINCI Grands Projets Preliminary site investigation of 40 km of the proposed motorway alignment between Bucharest and Brasov in the Carpathian mountains.

  10. SAKHALIN (Russia) Geological and geotechnical study of the landslides and unstable grounds in the alignment of the oil pipeline. Supervision of the Russian site investigation team, take over of the Russian documents and their translation in English, interpretation of results. There were permanently 1 to 3 SG GEOTECHNIKA engineers on site in 2004.

  11. IMPORTANT FOREIGN CLIENTS IN CZECH REPUBLIC GEFCO (France) Geotechnical study, consulting the design and construction supervision of the distribution centre for Peugeot cars manufactured in the new TPCA plant in Ovčáry near Kolín. Total revenue: 46.112 EUR i.e. 1 400 000 CZK
