Age UKs in Kent are responding to the challenges of economic and social market change Deliver better services and improved value, through county wide consistency One point of contact for county wide commissioning Build on high quality standards – Age UK brand and guarantee of quality Enhance the quality of the supply chain Maximise the economies of scale Plan for a sustainable future

Where are we now? ‘Age UKs in Kent Consortium’ • Held county wide workshop – Age UKs and Age Concerns • Agreed on forming a consortium model • Developed the Vision, Mission and draft Business Case • Agreed on consortium entry criteria requirements • Due diligence test against criteria - selected 6 lead Age UKs • MOU signed by the Chairs of the 6 Age UKs – February 2013

Our Vision & Mission To be the consortium that leads the delivery of Age UK services in Kent Our Vision • To bid for and win grants and contracts for services for older people across Kent • To be the first choice for both commissioners and subcontractors • To deliver county wide services through a network of high quality preferred subcontractors where appropriate • To work collaboratively with other organisations across the South East • As a consortium we are committed to improving attitudes and behaviours towards older people Our Mission
