Healthy, Hunger-Free Kids Act of 2010: Effective 2012-13 • Daily & weekly requirements for Fruit & Vegetable components • At least half of grains must be whole grain-rich • Limits on calories by age group • Limits on saturated fat (35%) and trans fat (0%) • Began year W/ Meat & Grain limits • Applied for USDA Certification to Receive (+$.06) Reimbursement • & Passed OSPI Validation Audit Lower Sodium targets, added breakfast component requirements, and Competitive Food restrictions begin in 2014-15.
