Broadcasting • Since European Curling Championships 2009 in Aberdeen, • Production of 3 minute highlight tape for use in promotion to IOC for inclusion of Mixed Doubles at future Winter Olympics • World Junior Curling Championships - Flims, Switzerland • Webcasting • Ford World Women‘s Curling Championship - Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Canada • Broadcasting and Webcasting • Capital One World Men‘s Curling Championship – Cortina, Italy • Broadcasting and Webcasting • World Mixed Doubles Curling Championship – Chelyabinsk, Russia • Webcast – Highlight Packages

    3. Broadcasting • Ford World Women‘s Curling Championship - Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Canada • Broadcasting and Webcasting • Eurosport • Broadcast - WCTV TV feed – 20 hours including final live after tennis – no commentators on site in Swift Current. • Webcast – Streamed games from all WCTV produced programmes and all 11 TSN produced round robin games on to Eurosport Player and mostly on to Curl TV site in Canada

Broadcasting • Ford World Women‘s Curling Championship - Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Canada • Broadcasting and Webcasting • TSN – Canada • Broadcast – own production - all 11 Canada games in the round-robin and semi final involving Canada, and final. Additional bronze medal game when Canada were involved – supplied by WCTV • Webcast – streamed own TV games on to their site. Additional WCTV games went to Curl TV site

Broadcasting • Ford World Women‘s Curling Championship - Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Canada • Broadcasting and Webcasting • NHK – Japan • Broadcast - WCTV TV feed – 6 games in the round robin involving Japan and play-off games - 5 crew from Tokyo in Swift Current including commentary • Webcast – Japan games streamed on to NHK site • CCTV 5 – China • Broadcast - WCTV TV feed of many games and additional camera on the bench - 5 crew from Beijing in Swift Current including commentary

    6. Broadcasting • Ford World Women‘s Curling Championship - Swift Current, Saskatchewan, Canada • Broadcasting and Webcasting • NBC / Universal – USA • Broadcast – delayed games – 4 plus final stages • Webcast – several games involving USA live on to the Universal site

    7. Broadcasting • Capital One World Men‘s Curling Championship - Cortina, Italy • Broadcasting and Webcasting • Eurosport • Broadcast - WCTV TV feed – 20 hours including semi-final and final. English and German commentators on site in Cortina • Webcast - Streamed games from all WCTV produced programmes and Live Channel (Sweden) producing additional games from most draws for streaming to Eurosport Player.

Broadcasting • Capital One World Men‘s Curling Championship - Cortina, Italy • Broadcasting and Webcasting • TSN – Canada • Broadcast – own production with WCTV facilities - semi final involving Canada, and final. Additional bronze medal game supplied if Canada are involved – supplied by WCTV • Webcast – streaming own TV games on to their site. Additional WCTV games involving Canada (one per day) are being delivered to TSN site, mostly produced by Live Channel but some TV quality pictures available from the WCTV television games.

    10. Broadcasting • Broadcasting • Additional news highlight packages are produced and distributed through EBU for use by broadcasters as required from both the Men‘s and Women‘s World Championships.

Broadcasting • Broadcasting • Additional news highlight packages are produced and distributed through EBU for use by broadcasters as required from both the Men‘s and Women‘s World Championships. • Games being taken by largest Brazilian sports channel. • Webcasting • Minimum standard of all games will contain commentary. This is important for viewers. • Games will be archived on WCF website. So far men‘s and women‘s finals from ECC 2009 in Aberdeen and the two finals from the World Junior Championships 2010 in Flims. Additional games from Flims will be archived shortly. • From Swift Current and Cortina all the streamed games will be archived once they come off the Eurosport Player (usually two to three weeks after the event is finished).

Meetings planned with Eurosport – first one in May 2010 to attempt to improve what is shown on Eurosport and reliability of Eurosport Player. • 2. Increased co-operation planned with TSN to achieve more effective use of production from both TSN and WCTV • 3. Consideration of production standards for TV, specially having regard for new angles used in Vancouver Winter Olympics such as mini boom – great pictures
