  1. English 10 - 2/21/12 • Have you passed the WASL/HSPE before? To what do you attribute your success or lack thereof? • Incontinence Hotline…Can you hold please? • Cagophily – collector of keys. • Goals – Write an on demand, multi-paragraph essay in response to a HSPE prompt to use as a basis for our study over the next three weeks. • Homework – Finish your essay if you didn’t get it done in class. Begin to study for Vocab. #22.

English 10 - 2/22/12 • In your opinion, what will it take for you to pass the reading and writing HSPEs? • Depression is only anger without the energy. • Oologist – collector of bird’s eggs. • Goals – Discuss why you should try to pass the HSPE and our strategy for your preparation. • Homework – Write a short paragraph about whether or not you are committed to passing the HSPE. Explain your reasoning.

English 10 - 2/23/12 • What sorts of activities do you think will help you improve your writing for the HSPE? • As long as there are tests there will be prayer in public schools. • Discophily – collector of records. • Goals – Work through some activities to improve how you start an essay, prewriting. • Homework – None.

  4. English 10 - 2/24/14 • School is not the only place to learn. Write a multiple-paragraph letter to a teacher in which you identify something you remember learning outside of school and explain why this has been important to you. • Why did the clown eat a dollar bill? • Noodling- music that is played as title or credits roll. • Goals – Work through some activities to improve how you start an essay, thesis and hook. • Homework – None.
