  1. Our Bird Box How we made it

  2. Intro This procedure will inform and explain how we made our model bird house out of cardboard. We will also explain why we made it.

  3. Why we made it Our bird box We chose a bird box because… We thought it would help attract birds and give us a good idea of their feeding habits. Our design is based on a central bird box with feeders hanging down and attached to the walls. it has two holes one for larger birds and one for smaller birds. The food is seed and natural sugar and fat. The food is available from www.thegardenparty.co.nz

  4. Steps 1.First you grab all the supplies listed here: Pens Sharp knife Ruler Tape Cardboard Scissors Small Cup String Twig 2. Make four rough 15-20 cm squares 3. Then put them all together and seletape around the corners 4. However big the squares are make another one for the base 5. Stick the base on with seletape

  5. 6. Get the cup and on one of the sides of the faces trace around it with a pen 7. Grab the sharp knife and carefully cut around the outside of the circle 8. Get two little rectangles and one by one seletape them on the top of the birdhouse 9. After that get two little triangles that fit in the gaps on the top 10. Seletape the triangles on into the gaps on the top 11. Gut a nine centimetre square out of cardboard 12. Trace around the square on one of the other faces 13. Get the knife again and cut around the square 14. Once the square is cut open, cut a little rectangle that is the width of the square 15. Seletape the rectangle just below the square 16. Do the same on the other side with the circle 17. On both sides cut out a little triangle and stick it under the platform 18. So now you have the base of the bird box 19. Get four pieces of string that are the exact same size 20. Seletape the string on all four corners of the box 21. Once you have done that get all the string together up high and seletape them around 22. Get one more piece of string about half the size of the others and attach it with the other string with seletape 23. After that grab the twig and wrap the string around it and seletape around it so it is secure

  6. Conclusion Now you have your model cardboard bird box AKA the Archie + Felix bird house. Now you can go home and make it out of wood instead! And should turn out like this:
