    3. The Top A boy named Stanley Yelnats was to have stolen a pair of shoes that were from a shelter for the homeless. The shoes belonged to Clyde “Sweet Feet” Livingston. Stanley had to go to court for a trial. Then Stanley Said: First the Judge said:

    4. Stanley had to ride a bus to Camp Green Lake. Camp Green Lake is located in Texas. There were two people on the bus ( not including the bus driver), and those people were Stanley and a guard. It tells about the lizards. Don’t get near one! Part One: You are now entering Camp Green Lake

    5. 1 foot in the ground Camp Green Lake was a town with a beautiful lake. That was over 100 years ago. Now the lake is all dried up. There is a camp near the place where the lake used to be at. The camp is for boys that did crimes. At Camp Green Lake those boys have to dig holes that are 5 feet wide and 5 feet deep.

    6. 2 feet in the ground Most of the campers at Camp Green Lake were not given a choice to go to Camp Green Lake. They had to go to Camp Green Lake because they did something they had done that they shouldn’t have done. I n Stanley’s case he was given a choice to go to jail or Camp Green Lake.

    7. 3 feet in the ground Stanley gets on the bus to go to Camp Green Lake. There is a guard on the bus with a shot gun in his hands. Stanley thought that it would be a good camp.

    8. 6 feet in the ground Chapter 4: After more than 8 hours Stanley finally gets off the bus. The bus driver tells Stanley to be careful. Stanley didn’t know if the bus driver meant to be careful while going down the steps or to be careful at Camp Green Lake. Chapter 5: Stanley was assigned to tent D. He was introduced to his counselor. His counselor was Mr. Pendanski. Stanley is also introduced to the other campers of tent D. Chapter 6: Stanley did things that you could call those things what they are. Stanley was asked why he was at Camp Green Lake. Stanley said that he was at Camp Green Lake for stealing a pair of shoes that belonged to a famous baseball player named Clyde “Sweet Feet” Livingston. Nobody believed him until Zero asked him if they had red X’s on them. Stanley said that they did.

    9. 10 feet in the ground Chapter 7: When Stanley got up he had to dig his 1st hole. It was still dark outside when Stanley had to dig a hole. Chapter 8: The yellow-spotted lizards have red eyes, black teeth, and a white tongue. Don’t get bitten by one because you will always die a slow and painful death. Chapter 9: Stanley goes to the wreck room. He writes a letter to his mom. Stanley got the nickname CAVEMAN. Chapter 10: Stanley woke up about an hour after he went to sleep. He digs his 2nd hole. Stanley found a fish fossil ,but didn’t get the rest of the day off.

    10. 15 feet in the ground Chapter 11: Stanley didn’t think it was fair that he had to keep working instead of getting the rest of the day off. X-Ray told Stanley to give anything that Stanley found to him. Stanley didn’t think that he would find something at all Chapter 12: Stanley and the rest of the D tent boys discussed with Mr. Pendanski. Some thought that they were leaving because Mr. Pendanski mentioned about the time they were going to leave. Chapter 13: Stanley was back on the lake digging as soon as he got to sleep. He got used to digging with blisters in his hands. He found a gold tube and gave it to X-Ray. Chapter 14: X-Ray Showed Mr. Pendanski the tube that Stanley and got the day off. Stanley was asked by the warden to come over. The warden asked him if he had taken a drink and he said yes. Chapter 15: Zero had to dig X-Rays hole for him. Stanley had to help Zero dig. Everyone else had to dig a series of tunnels with no dirt above their heads.

    11. 20 feet in the ground Chapter 16: Stanley walked in the wreck room and X-Ray called him over to sit next to him. The warden told X-Ray that she’s glad he’s at camp because they need his sharp eyes. Chapter 17: The others kept on digging like the warden had told them to do. The warden was getting mad and they still hadn't found anything where X-Ray was to have found the gold tube. Armpit was jabbed in the back with a pitch fork by the warden because he returned from a bathroom break. Chapter 18: Stanley was writing a letter to his mom. He stopped writing when Zero walked in. Then Zero surprised Stanley by asking Stanley to teach him how to read. Chapter 19: Mr. Sir came with the water truck to fill up the campers canteens. Magnet stole Mr. Sir’s sunflower seeds from his truck. Magnet was passing the sunflower seeds around to everyone else. Mr. Sir came back and Stanley got in trouble for stealing Mr. Sir’s sunflower seeds. Chapter 20: Stanley was taken to the warden. The warden asked Stanley to get her nail polish case. The warden told him that it was made of rattlesnake venom and then she struck Mr. Sir across the face.

    12. 25 feet in the ground Chapter 21: Everybody else thought that Stanley was going to be dead when the warden was done with him. Stanley was ok and nothing happened to him. Stanley thought that he might die. Chapter 22: Stanley was the first one done digging his hole. Some of the boys were making fun of Zero. Stanley started teaching Zero how to read. Chapter 23: 110 years ago Green Lake was the largest lake in Texas. Katherine Barlow was the towns finest school teacher that taught in a one-room schoolhouse. She was famous for her spiced peaches that she made. Chapter 24: Mr. Sir’s face was swollen really bad. Stanley got no water in his canteen to drink. Zero let Stanley say when he wanted Zero to dig his hole. Chapter 25: There was a doctor in the town of Green Lake, 110 years ago. People would go to see him. But they would also see Sam the onion man. He fixed things for Katherine Barlow and then when he was done with the final thing that he had to fix he went and kissed her.

    13. Part 2 The Last Hole 30 feet in the ground Chapter 26: The news of Sam and Kate kissing spread quickly. People started Destroying and Burning the School down. Katherine Barlow became the most feared outlaw in the West and her name was Kissin’ Kate Barlow. She’ll kiss ya and then she’ll kill ya. Chapter 27: Stanley was having Zero dig his hole so he could teach Zero to read. The other boys were making fun of Stanley and being mean to him. Stanley was helping Zero write. Chapter 28:Kate came back to Green Lake when it was all dried up. She had gone mad cause she would hear things that were not being said and she knew she was mad. Trout Walker was going to kill Kate Barlow. She got a yellow-spotted lizard to bite her and she died. Chapter 29: There was a change in the weather. There was a storm off to the west of camp. It was on the other side of the mountains. Everyone wanted the rain. Chapter 30: The next day was Zigzags birthday. Stanley started his 45th hole. Stanley and Zigzag started fighting cause Mr. Pendanski told them to get in a fight. Stanley got in trouble for Zero digging his hole for him.

    14. The Bottom Stanley found K.B ‘s treasure which had his name on it. The warden told the lady that it was stolen from her until Zero said that it was Stanley’s box. Stanley went home with Hector Zeroni and his lawyer. That is The End of the book.

    15. Ending Credits Book by: Louis Sachar Main Character: Stanley Yelnats Plot: A boy that does nothing wrong goes to a camp that is for people that did things wrong. Setting: A desert in Texas. Would I recommend this Book? Yes I would cause it is an exciting book that anyone can read. I would recommend the movie, too! By Dominic Mullins
