  2. Life • George Armstrong Custer was born on December 5, 1839, in New Rumley, Ohio. He joined the army when he was 22. He fought in the Civil War and in Indian battles. He died on June 5, 1876, at the Battle Of The Little Bighorn.

  3. In The Army • George served for the Union, and the United States Army. He commanded the Michigan Brigade3rd Cavalry Division2nd Cavalry Division7th U.S. Cavalry. • He served for 15 years.

  4. Battle of the Little Bighorn • During the Battle Of The little bighorn, George was commanding the 7th U.S Cavalry. In the battle he was killed. The battle was Fought against the Sioux Indians.
