  5. Teaming • School hours: 7:55 a.m. to 2:55 p.m. • Courses: 90 minute blocks • Students will have 3 rotations: • Reading/Language Arts • Math • Science/Social Studies

  7. Exploratory Classes • 6 Week Rotation • 40 minute periods • Physical Education • Art • Music • Health • World Cultures • Creative Productions

  8. Guidance Office • Individual Counseling • Group Counseling • ISTEP+ Test Preparation • Classroom Guidance • (Bullying, character skills, hygiene, etc.) • Career Guidance • Parent Resource • (Adult & Child, Military groups, Tutoring, Parenting Skills, etc.)

CBIS Clinic • Medicine • Students are NOT allowed to carry medication on them to school unless proper documentation has been filled out with the school nurse. • Care Plan Forms • If your student is diagnosed with seizures, bee stings/food allergies, diabetes, or asthma, there are care plan forms in the clinic. Please see the school nurse. • Special Medical Considerations • If your student needs to carry a water bottle or have unlimited restroom privileges, the clinic needs to have the doctor’s orders on file for those special considerations.

  11. Lockers • Students will be assigned their own locker. • Students may not share lockers. • Combinations are confidential. • Lockers are a privilege- treat them with care. • Combination locks – start practicing !

  12. Transportation • Students ride the bus with elementary students in the morning. After school, all students ride a transfer bus to the middle school. If the transfer bus is not their home bus, they will switch at the middle school. • All changes in bus transportations will need to go through the transportation department which they will then notify the CBIS office to create a bus pass for the student. • Franklin Community School Corporation Transportation Office: 346-8770

  13. Open House • Schedule Pick-up • Wed. July 30 – CBIS will be open for 5th & 6th graders to pick up schedules Office hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. • Pay book rental • Have school pictures taken • Receive locker assignments
