In this dynamic semester course, students will create, develop, edit, and produce three issues of the school newspaper, "Sailors On the Scene." Responsibilities include writing daily and weekly stories for the blog and managing the newspaper's Facebook page. Guided by the motto, "Good is not good enough; it has to be great," students are expected to uphold standards of responsibility, respect, and preparedness. Course Overview • In this one semester course, students will be responsible for: • Creating, developing, writing, editing, designing, and producing three issues of the school newspaper, Sailors On the Scene. • Writing daily/weekly stories for the Blog as well as maintaining the Sailors On the Scene Facebook page.

Procedures & Routines All classroom procedures and routines will be followed each day to allow for a safe and effective learning environment.
Grading Students will be graded on their work and points will be awarded based on draft checklists and/or performance evaluations. There will not be a lot of opportunities to earn points, so each check will be of the utmost importance.
