  2. O - ING • O –ING (-ando,-endo,-indo,-ondo) forma o gerúndio dos verbos em inglês. • Buy (comprar) – Buying (comprando) • Listen (ouvir) - Listening

  3. BE + vING • Usamos o verbo auxiliar Be conjugado no presente (am, are, is) acompanhado de um verbo no gerúndio (ING) para dizer que algo está aconetcendo no momeno. • He is singing (ele está cantando).

  4. BE (am, are, is) + vING Usos: 1) Para descrever uma ação que está acontecendo no presente. Ex: I am writing(eu estou escrevendo) You are studying(você está estudando) He isworking(ele está trabalhando)

  5. Usos: 2) Para falar de um fato futuro: Ex: We are going to Paris next week. (Nós estamos indo para Paris semana que vem.) John is coming here on Friday. (John está vindo aqui na sexta.)

  6. Forma Presente do Verbo Be (am, are, is) seguido do verbo principal no Gerúndio (-ING = ando, endo, indo, ondo). S + Be* + V.ING I am walking You are walking He is walking – She is walking We are walking You are walking They are walking

  7. Grafia do ING Adicionar ING aos verbos terminados em consoante, semi-consoante (y,w) e em “O”. Ex: Work – working Study – studying Listen - listening Go – going Play - playing

  8. B) se o verbo terminar em “IE” trocar por “YING)” Die- dying Lie - lying

  9. C) Se o verbo tiver apenas uma sílaba ou terminar por C-V-C na sílaba tônica, dobrar a última consoante e adicionar o –ING. RUN - RUNNING C-V-C C-C-ING Begin – BEGINNING C-V-C C-V-C-C-ING

  11. 2)Contínuo para arranjos temporários • We start work at 9 A.M. (rotina), but for this week only we are starting at 8.30.

  12. 3)Para demonstrar irritação com ações rotineiras usando advérbios de frequência. • Richard is always trying to borrow money from me. • She isconstantlycomplaining about my behaviour. Obs:não levar esse Always ao pé da letra (=very often)
