Enhancing CrIMSS Validation through Collaborative Update and Authorship Revision

This manuscript presents updated science results on the validation of Infrared Sounder Environmental Data Records, focusing on the Cross-track Infrared Microwave Sounder Suite (CrIMSS). The revised version incorporates feedback from reviewers and editors, with specific attention to constructive comments for improvement. Coauthorship adjustments were made following the request of the Associate Editor, ensuring direct contributors are included while recognizing others in the Acknowledgments. The revised manuscript will meet the submission deadline of 16 September 2013.

JGR Special Section on NPP Cal/Val Science ResultsManuscript Update • Manuscript by Nalli et al., “Validation of Infrared Sounder Environmental Data Records: Application to the Cross-track Infrared Microwave Sounder Suite (CrIMSS)”, has been revised according to the Reviewer and Editor comments • Associate Editor (FuzhongWeng) requested that only direct contributors be included as coauthors • 10 of the original coauthors graciously agreed to be moved to the Acknowledgments; the remaining coauthors are either direct contributors or PIs for validation datasets • Most of the specific constructive comments of the two Reviewers has been taken into account. • The revised manuscript will be submitted before the due date of 16 September 2013.
