  1. CSoI Update From Barbara: • Center-wide post-docs • Identifying grand challenges • Improved dynamic website & education portal (Google Education, etc) • Center-wide, distributed undergrad Scholars program w/ focus on diversity • Grad student workshops

Student Leadership Council • Diversity within Prestige Lecture Series (and collaborating w/ minority student programs to link the speakers with students during visit). • Developed a centralized Diversity Database for the Center • Participating in Leadership Team for Indiana Girls Collaborative Project

  3. From Brent: • Student research teams seed grant competition • A new undergrad course, Introduction to Science of Information, being taught at several Center institutions - with an online version available next year • Annual summer school focused on Center research thrusts • Monthly research web presentations by students

  4. Student leadership council provides input, planning all hands student workshop during site visit • Topic modules being developed as part of NSF TUES grant for student learning and faculty use in existing courses.
