  3. Limits w/ Power Park • Gaps • Limited permit configuration • Basic customer classification • No customization • No gate access integration • No hosting option • ASU IT Resources • Maintenance and Support • Vendor increased support costs by 50 % in 2008 • No further development of Power Park • Outdated technology

  4. T2 Flex • Developed in 2004 • Web based technology • New and Expanded Features • Permit configuration module, customer class options, • Access and Revenue Control - Integrated solutions with gate access software • Event Management • Property/Asset Management • Enhanced reporting tools • Interface Capabilities

  6. T2 Flex – Additional Benefits • Customization • Unified Management System - ARC • Streamlined processes for staff • Less interface “work arounds” to maintain • Hosting Option (Support ) • Customized E-business development • Relief of ASU’s IT resources • E-business enhancements • Administrative Console • Crystal Reports Execution

  7. T2 Flex Users • Universities using Flex include: • Texas A&M University • Ohio State University • University of Texas, Austin • Harvard University • Georgia Tech University • University of Georgia • University of California, Los Angeles • University of Southern California • University of Colorado • University of Nevada, Las Vegas • Northern Arizona University • University of Arizona (runs both Power Park and Flex with ARC) • Duke University / Michigan State University (migrating this Spring)

  8. Project Timeline • Project Approvals – February 2009 • Project Kick-Off - March 3–5, 2009 • Project Planning - Mar – May, 2009 • PTS Staff Training - May 27 – June 5 • T2 Flex Go-Live - June 8 (9th) • E-Business Go-Live – June 22 (29th) • Commence FY 10 permit sales

  9. Summary • Current requests are being denied due to various resource intensive programming limitations. • Completing the proposed migration and putting the burden of the hosted application in the hands of the vendor allows ASU to continue improving services that we offer by accommodating customer requests and expectations. • If the migration is not completed, the ability to meet the technological advances and demands for support will remain limited.
