  7. VoIP testing terminal model in draft Q.3948 • Draft Q.3948 defines the “VoIP test object” which is described as the block diagram of SIP multimedia communication terminal and blue coloured parts are the “VoIP test object”. • The profiles on VoIP test object is described in this draft document. Video I/O element Video codec (MPEG4, H.264) Local Area Network Interface RTP / RTCP (RFC3550) Audio I/O element Audio codec (G.711) System control SIP (RFC 3261) System control User Interface SDP (RFC 4566)

  8. VoIP testing sequence in draft Q.3948 • Draft Q.3948 defines the “Basic Call service sequence”

  10. Introduction • Discussion • VoIP service testing for NGN UNI • Multimedia service testing for NGN UNI • PSTN/ISDN simulation service protocol • Conclusion

  11. How to develop NGN Multimedia service testing specification • Fundamental Structure of MM service testing spec. is based on Q.3948 “VoIP service testingat NGN UNI” • MM service contains many sub-service • Video Phone • Video Conference • Data Conference • 2 part structures of MM service testing • MM service framework testing • Profiles • Testing preparation • Sub-service testing (ex. Video Phone service) • Test procedure • Test cording Q.3909 Q.NGN interoprability VoIP service testing at NGN UNI MM service testing framework Q.3948 • Profiles • Preparation Video Phone service testing PSTN/ISDN simulation service testing Video Conference service testing Data Conference • Procedure • Cording Annex SD(MPEG) SD(H263) HD(H264)

  12. Interoperability Test for“Multimedia Service Testing” • Profile sample of MPEG-4

  13. Introduction • Discussion • VoIP service testing for NGN UNI • Multimedia service testing for NGN UNI • PSTN/ISDN simulation service protocol • Conclusion

  14. Launching New Work Programme“PSTN/ISDN simulation service” • ITU-T Rec. Q.2211 defines • OIP, OIR, TIP, TIR, MCID, ACR, CDIV, HOLD, CB, CCBS, CW, MWI, CONF, AOC, ECT, RC, UPT, CRBT, CRT • Process to develop protocol specifications • Step 1: Define the target of PSTN/ISDN simulation services to develop service protocol specifications • Step 2: Define the reference base specification of other SDOs (ex. TISPAN, 3GPP) • Step 3: Modify base reference specifications and adjust them to ITU-T requirements and architectures, etc • Detailed protocol specifications of global standard are needed to achieve interoperability

  15. Next SG11’s meeting plan for “PSTN/ISDN simulation service”

  16. Introduction • Discussion • VoIP service testing for NGN UNI • Multimedia service testing for NGN UNI • PSTN/ISDN simulation service protocol • Conclusion

  17. Conclusion and Challenge • VoIP service testing at NGN UNI • Draft Q.3948 (May 2011 resent approved) • Multimedia service testing at NGN UNI (Real-time multimedia service) • Draft Q.MultimediaTEST (new item) • Creating PSTN/ISDN simulation service protocol (TIP/TIR, OIP/OIR, HOLD etc) • Recent launched • Planning New Interoperability testing CJK should promote the study of NGN interoperability as the leader countries of ITU-T
