VACANCY: Line Leaders Location: Duns, Berwickshire Reporting to: Area Leader Direct Reports: Team Members Shift Pattern: 37.5 hours per week (Nightshift) The main responsibilities for this position are: • To lead the line and maintain line operations ensuring sufficient product quantity and quality output. • To effectively communicate with Area leader, key personnel on shift and other departments • To deliver regular team briefings • To communicate with Team Members, Positive Release staff, Finished Product QC staff, Production Administration Manager in an appropriate manner, when dealing with Product non-conformances. • To ensure pack lines and staff (including agency workers) are operating efficiently. • To comply with Organic requirements prior to and during the run. • To ensure accurate completion of Date Code Sheets (every 15mins) • To ensure accurate completion of Check Weight Sheets • To comply with toolbox issuing procedures, ensuring tools are stored back in the box when not in use and returned to packaging store at the end of the run/shift. • To ensure all other documentation for the area under your control is being completed accurately and in accordance with site quality procedures (e.g. Batch Sheets with poly samples) • To check the 1st bag on packing line and conduct intermittent checks thereafter for seals & print. • To ensure correct information is keyed into screens. • To ensure accurate checking of codes dates/promotional labels • To ensure compliance with Hygiene rules. • To utilise any downtime by cleaning and tidying line and/or work area, e.g. wiping down, tidying up bags, clearing away rubbish. The Person The successful candidate will have good communication skills and be an excellent team player with an ability to deliver tasks efficiently and on time.
