Balance of labor in Brazil post-crisis Remarks / Conclusions • Brazil presents a low ratio of engineers/ inhabitants • USA or Japan: 26 engineers/1000 inhabitants • Brazil: 6 engineers/1000 inhabitants • The number of engineerswill not be enough for the demand in 2015 (deficit of 249,000, considering an increasing scenario of 5% GDP). • In fact, the projection of the figures shows that from 2011 on, there will be a deficit of qualified labor in Brazil.
