Graduation • STAAR EOC • 15 EOCs Total • English has 2 tests (reading and writing) • Each EOC counts towards graduation • Level 2 needed on Algebra II and English III (reading and writing) • Credits – 26 • 4 Math, 4 English, 4 Science, 4 Social Studies • Additional Required Courses(foreign language, technology, health, speech, PE, fine arts, electives

EOC Exams Required for Graduation ENGLISHMATHSCIENCESOCIAL STUDIES English I Reading English I Writing Algebra I Biology World Geography English II Reading English II Writing Geometry Chemistry World History English III Reading English III Writing Algebra II Physics US History Students will take the English Reading and Writing tests in April and the Math, Science, and Social Studies tests in May.

  4. A student can receive 4 different types of scores on each EOC. Level 2 (Passing) Level 3 (Passing) Level 1 Min. Level 1 (Not Passing)

Level 1 vs. Level 1 Minimum Score • Level 1 Unsatisfactory • (not passing) • Student must retake the EOC • Score cannot be used towards the cumulative score needed to graduate • Level 1 Minimum Score • (does not meet standards) • Student is highly encouraged to retake the EOC • Score can be used towards the cumulative score needed to graduate

She must receive a Level 2 in Algebra II. If she only takes Algebra II and the score only goes up 75 points she will not graduate. The student will not be allowed to graduate until they meet the cumulative score required for graduation in each EOC subject.

  10. What if I need to Retest? • July & December • Students can take up to 5 EOCs during each retesting window.
