  3. Get involved!!

  4. Does it matter how I get to school? YES!

  5. Cycling and Walking are both excellent methods of exercise

  6. Cycling can get you fitter

  7. Walking canhelp keep youin shape

  8. It can put you in a good mood

  9. It keeps your heart healthy

  10. It might boost your brain for school

  11. You canchat toyourmates,

  12. It reduces congestion

  13. …and pollution…

  14. …and CO2in the atmosphere.

  15. …and it’s free!

  16. What if live too far away to walk…?

  17. Why not walk for the last few minutes of your journey ? We call it ‘Park and Stride’!

  18. I only live 5 minutes from school

  19. Every step or pedal counts.

  20. I can’t cycle or walk every day No problem! • Just cycle or walk when you can.

  21. I have to carry all these folders, and my Cranford PE kit and the ingredients for food technology…

  22. Do you need to carry all your stuff every day? Could you use a locker? Why not cycle or walk on the days when you don’t need to carry as much?

  23. Have you seen the weather?

  24. Why not keep an umbrella or waterproof in your bag, just in case?

  25. What about bullying? There’s some bad kids round here.

  26. Why not walk with a friend?

  27. …and if someone does try to bully you, on your way to school… Remember… IGNORE it if you can. DON’T show your feelings. WALK away. TELL an adult who you trust.
