  2. CNA means... Certified Nursing Assistant or Nurse' Aide or Home Health Assistant (HHA) Work under the supervision of a nurse Can be found in hospitals, as well as in different types of nursing homes, adult living facilities, and even in private homes

  3. Need of a CNA CNAs are needed to help care for patients 24 hours a day To provide patients with assistance in their daily living tasks A link between patient & doctor or nurse Play an important role in meeting the emotional needs of clients

  4. CNA Basic Skills Noticing the overall progress of the patients Taking vital signs such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse rate, etc. Taking the patients for X-ray and ultrasound, etc. Dressing and cleaning the wounds of the patients

  5. CNA Basic Skills (cont.) Providing them food rich in nutrients and liquid diet Maintaining cleanliness in the surrounding areas Providing them mental and emotional support, especially to elderly patients or those who are suffering from mental condition
