  4. SSA+S PTSSPresident’s Report: Susan Hartman September 16, 2019 Meeting Welcome PTSS Update Productive Summer Break and Back to School Week 3 very successful used uniform sales. Funds raised go towards the end of year carnival as well as classroom grants. Thank you to our hard working volunteers who helped to make this so successful. All teachers were given $75 for classroom start ups. 3 lunches were provided to the teachers and staff – 2 of which were donated by Station 400 and PDQ. Thank you to VP Linda Nippert for getting the restaurants to donate. Honey Baked Ham boxed lunches were paid for by the PTSS. Spirit Shirts and Used Uniforms Spirit Shirts are available at General Membership meetings and printable form from team news or school website. Used uniforms can be purchased through out the year. Please contact Katy White, PTSS Volunteer Coordinator to set up a time to purchase.

  5. SSA+S PTSSPresident’s Report: Susan Hartman September 16, 2019 Meeting Concession Stand We will be opening the concession stand at various events including home Volleyball and Basketball games. Please keep your eye out for SignUp Genius opportunities. We are offering healthier food items such as packaged snacks with lower sugar and calories, however we will still offer a small variety of soda and candy as well. UnFundraiser Biggest fundraiser of the year. No products to be sold. Donations only! The event will run 10/7-10/18. Information will be sent home soon. Funds go towards supporting our school and our students. Students are awarded one dress down day for every $10 they are able to get donated. Sarasota’s Holiday Parade We are looking for a fun team of volunteers who are interested in building and decorating the float and helping in the organization of the event. Last year SSAS float won 1st Place! This year’s parade will be December 7tth and the theme is “Holidays by the Sea”. Keep a look out for an email announcing the first planning meeting.

We always hope to keep our expenses lower with parent and business donations in areas such as honor roll celebration and teacher appreciation.

  8. SSA+S PTSS Volunteer Coordinator Report September 16, 2019 Meeting Current Needs: We are always looking for donations of SSAS uniforms. Please deliver them to the front desk. They will need to be washed and folded. Thank you  Operating Sports/Event Concessions and Planning Holiday Parade. Look for SignUp Genius and information in team news. Send in your Box Tops and be sure download the new App! Thank you for your support & time! Household Requirement: • 10 volunteer hours per dual parent household • 5 volunteer hours per single parent household • Must be approved by registering with Sarasota County Schools Community Involvement Portal. Find Volunteer Opportunities: • PTSS emails that are sent with SignUp Genius link. • Email the leadership team with any specific areas you would like to help with.
