  2. Average Salary The average salary for a therapist in Tennessee as of now is between $45,091 and $49,167. The salary can range depending on your education, certifications, and additional skills. I think It matches the salary I need to maintain the lifestyle I want.

  3. Managemen t Being a therapist doesn't necessarily mean you can move up a position because it is a one position type of job where it's just one job you don't move up from.

  4. Type of degree, training or certifications To be a therapist you need at least a Master's degree while some people choose to get a doctorate. The type of training you need is a minimum of a master's degree in social work, psychology, or counseling. To get your license you will need to pass two examinations, including The National Counselor Examination, administered by the NBCC and the Tennessee Examination.

  5. Work Environment The work environment for therapists are in offices or in hospitals. The retirement benefits are things like getting money from when you worked.

  6. Necessary skills Necessary skills you need to be a therapist are skills like active listening, communication, critical thinking, and problem solving. I these skills are for me because listening and communication are skills things I do well. The pros to beings a therapist are things like job growth, opportunity for advancement, or having more empathy towards people. The cons of this job are things like difficult patients, stress from the job, and physical demands.

  7. Phasellus Elementum Therapists are in high demand now days and it continues to grow. It is more okay now days to get a therapist then back then when it wasn't common to get one. Anyone that is interested in mental health counseling as a job the chances are promising.

  8. Opinion My opinion about this career changed a lot. If you are someone that is interested in things about mental health or helping people this could be a job possibility for you. It wasn't something I have thought of much but doing more research about this job it's something that might be a possibility now.
