  2. Went to the University of Kansas Went to Uchicago where he earned in 1918 a J.D. 1933: a Ph.D. in economics 1918 -1933: Taught economics, accounting and business law at many colleges. Had some background in real estate taught econ, accounting and business law at many colleges. Hoyt joined the Federal Housing Administration in 1934 as a Principle Housing economics In 1946 he opened a consulting firm and studied economic analysis Hoyt’s money from investing real estate allowed him the funds to found the Homer Hoyt Institute-specializes in land economics and real estate appraising research. Wrote Principles of Real Estate textbook along with Arthur Weimer, something that has been made into seven editions. His dedication to real estate helped him develop his famous sector model theory.
