  30. Better Data Leads to Better Results As today’s nonprofits seek to reach their full fundraising potential, it’s vital to remember that the single best predictor of future donation behavior is past donation behavior. When organizations fully leverage the power of data and push the limits of predictive technology, they are empowered as never before to: Harnessing the Power of Data in Today’s Nonprofit Landscape • Acquire new, high long-term value donors • Maximize the value of existing donor relationships • Improve donor retention • Fully realize donor value and engagement • Reactivate high-value lapsed donors • Optimize fundraising channel strategy • Reduce waste in fundraising spend • Unlock unique donor insights

  31. Discover Diverse Data Opportunities Harnessing the Power of Data in Today’s Nonprofit Landscape The Wiland Cooperative Database represents a comprehensive, diverse collection of first-party transaction data contributed by thousands of brands and organizations.

  32. Gain a Greater Understanding of Your Donors Harnessing the Power of Data in Today’s Nonprofit Landscape The Wiland Cooperative Database: A Comprehensive View

  33. Data Privacy and Protection The protection of donor privacy and of our clients’ data is of paramount importance to Wiland. Harnessing the Power of Data in Today’s Nonprofit Landscape • Wiland client data is never licensed, rented, sold or otherwise used to benefit companies that do not contribute similar data. The data is the client’s, not ours, and we protect it. • Unique donor records never become part of the Wiland Cooperative Database. Only donors with 24-month activity with two or more different organizations are eligible for the database. • The Wiland Cooperative Database is a “blind” coop, so Wiland will never reveal any client’s participation without their explicit consent. • Because of the expansiveness of the Wiland Cooperative Database, the vast majority of donors selected for a particular appeal come to us from 10+ different sources. • Wiland Cooperative Database products and solutions are only available to participants in the Wiland Cooperative Database.

  35. Forge Key Data Partnerships Harnessing the Power of Data in Today’s Nonprofit Landscape In the fall of 2017, Wiland announced their partnership with Amex Advance℠, a personalization services division within American Express, to create ultra-responsive marketing audiences based on the two organizations’ superior data assets and predictive modeling capabilities.

  36. Forge Key Data Partnerships Amex Advance’s predictive insights are used to further enrich Wiland’s vast data. To ensure Card Member privacy, Amex Advance never shares personal data with Wiland or its clients–only anonymized scores and insights. Harnessing the Power of Data in Today’s Nonprofit Landscape

  37. Through social media data partnerships, Wiland is able to identify social behaviors that contribute to predicting a donor’s likelihood of engagement with a particular nonprofit category. Using a proprietary algorithm, donors are ranked across each one of thousands of social engagement categories, resulting in powerful model variables that drive the creation of high-performance donor audiences and enhance the accuracy of donor targeting solutions. Harnessing the Power of Data in Today’s Nonprofit Landscape Tap into Social Engagement Tap Into Social Engagement Social media data on approximately 170,000,000+ Americans is available.

  38. Leverage Innovative Predictive Analytics The Wiland Technology Platform: A proprietary technology that utilizes artificial intelligence and machine learning to create ultra-responsive marketing audiences for targeted media buying. 39. Utilize Sophisticated Modeling Techniques Harnessing the Power of Data in Today’s Nonprofit Landscape

  40. Utilize Sophisticated Modeling Techniques Models are developed on four primary platforms: Wizard System: Uses a proprietary supervised learning algorithm designed to produce models that optimize revenue. Developed utilizing multiple promotional campaigns producing a consistent prediction over time. CLEARTM (Custom Learning) System: CLEARTM is Wiland’s second generation Wizard system that outperforms previous analytical engines, producing powerful, foundational models. It enables clients to target donors more effectively, substantially reduce wasted marketing expenditures, and improve results. Enterprise System: Statistical procedures, such as linear and logistical regression, CHAID analysis, neural nets, cluster analysis, and random forests. Wiland Integrated Performance Series (WIPS) : Allows for the “collective wisdom” residing within multiple client-specific models to be used together for an optimized solution. WIPS solutions facilitate a brand’s understanding of its audience potential. Harnessing the Power of Data in Today’s Nonprofit Landscape
