  1. Parent Guide to the ILP(Individual Learning Plan) for Students in Grades 6-12

  2. Students across Kentucky are required to complete an Individual Learning Plan (ILP). The Career Cruising ILP Tool is designed to help students bring together their academic achievements, extracurricular experiences, and career and education exploration activities. This enables the student, parents or guardians, teachers, and counselors to work together to develop a course of study that meets the student’s needs and goals. Students in grades 6-12 are required to have 100% completion each school year on the ILP as a requirement for graduation. In addition, as a parent/guardian, you are required to review your child’s ILP at least one time each school year. You may contact your child’s guidance counselor to obtain your user name and password that allows you to access your child’s ILP or you may also contact the Instructional Supervisor, Phyllis Curry, at 270-384-2476, extension 2002.

  3. Managing the ILP The two main goals of the Parent/Guardian ILP are to allow parents and guardians to view the work done by their child and allow parents and guardians to provide feedback to their child’s advisor on their child’s ILP. The information entered by students for most sections of the ILP is read-only; parents and guardians can view their child’s work but cannot change it. To log-in, parents and guardians go to http://www.careercruising.com/ILP and enter their Parent/Guardian username and password.
