  1. Assignment V Disassembly and reassembly of a personal computer Before the destruction!!!!

  2. Starting the Dis-Assembly This is a Systemax Venture computer. This picture shows the inside of the computer after the side face had been removed.

  3. Taking out the power supply The top picture shows the power supply disconnected from the casing. The bottom picture shows the power supply out of the computer case.

  4. The Fan, memory chip, and RAM The top pictures shows the fan as it is removed from the case. The bottom picture shows the memory chip and the RAM already disconnected.

  5. External ports and the modem The top picture shows some of the external USB ports and audio inputs. The middle picture shows the phone port directly to the modem. The bottom picture is the modem removed from the computer.

  6. CD rom drive The top picture shows the CD ROM being removed from the computer chassis. The bottom picture is a close up of the manufacturer specifications of the CD ROM drive.

  7. The optical drive The top picture shows the Optical Drive being removed from the chassis case. The bottom picture is a top view of the Optical Drive.

  8. The Hard Drive and the Ribbons The top picture shows the hard drive being disconnected. The bottom picture shows some of the ribbons from the computer, just one of the many connectors located inside the computer case.

  9. The battery and the motherboard The top picture shows a close up of the Lithium Cell Battery, an important component of any computer. The bottom picture shows the motherboard, disconnected and out of the computer case.

  10. An empty case and all the computer parts The top picture is the computer case after the complete disassembly. The bottom picture shows all of the computer’s internal components. I hope I know how to put them back!!!

  11. Reassembly time! A real “hand’s on” experience!!! The top picture shows the reassembly beginning with the reconnection of the motherboard. The bottom picture shows some of the wiring. Boy, were there a lot of wires to reconnect. The was a very tedious process.

  12. All the “drives” reassembled and the power supply reconnected From left to right, the top picture shows the CD ROM, the Optical Drive, and the Hard Drive back where they belong. A little “screw” here and there and the power was back on!!

  13. Putting the Modem and the Memory chips back The top picture shows the reassembled modem. The bottom picture shows the RAM and memory chip being “snapped” back into place. I wish the rest of the reassembly was this easy.

  14. Connectors (ribbons and wires) There were so many different connections that had to be put back into place. Why is it that the connections are so small? Whose hands do these manufacturers expect to fit in there?

  15. Mission accomplished!!! The top picture was the final piece to the puzzle as the face plate was reattached. Looks as good as new??? Unfortunately, the computer still doesn’t work. Don’t worry, it didn’t work before this process either.
