The Chicago's Chinese Connections (C3) program, directed by Robert Davis and coordinated by Jane Lu, focuses on integrating visiting teachers into Chicago Public Schools (CPS) through various initiatives, including the Global Educators’ Outreach Program and the Shanghai Visiting Teachers Program. These programs recruit qualified non-U.S. citizens to bring diverse teaching strategies to CPS classrooms, while ensuring professional development and certification pathways. Candidates are supported through workshops and observed teaching experiences to foster their skills and adapt to the educational environment.
