  1. Dare to Prepare A Pre-Permit Workshop for Parents and Teens AAA/CAA Driver Training Operations

  2. Dare to Prepare • Targets issues that teen drivers will face as they begin to drive • Focuses on concept and messages that teens and parents would not normally receive during a traditional driver education course

  3. Dare to Prepare • Driving as a privilege • Working with parents during the learning-to-drive process • Teen crash statistics • Graduated driver licensing

  4. Dare to Prepare • The program is not intended to replace driver’s education or even to substantially overlap such a course. • It is a supplementary program designed to facilitate early discussion of driving safety issues and to be delivered before teens receive the learner’s permit.

  5. Dare to Prepare • The program is intended to increase parents and teens total exposure to traffic safety messaging throughout their career as developing drivers. • It is a well rounded interactive program designed to spread awareness of multiple traffic safety issues tailored directly to not-yet-licensed teens.

  6. Dare to Prepare • Increase the amount of teen exposure to traffic safety issues • Increase parental involvement in the learning-to-drive process • Promote safe teen drivers
