This blackout was caused by human error, an operator did not follow the correct sequence of operations when transferingload from one busbarto another.

IndianBlackout 2012 • The July 31, 2012, occurred in India, the worst blackout in the history of the world due to a failure in the power supply in this country, leaving more than 600 million people without energy. In the states of Delhi, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, Punjab, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Uttarakhand, and Jammu and Kashmir were affected. It made 8.000 MW unaviable.

  11. Blackout in Panama2013 • Due a burning dry grass, there was a fault in the transmission line from the substation, this overloaded the other power plants, which began to collapse one by one. Over ninety percent of the Panamanian population was affected. The blackoutlasted about five hours.
