Guildford scored 137-8 off 30 overs and in reply Normandy chased the total 3 wickets down off only 26.2 overs. A great win for the team this year and all the better to beat Guildford in the final!

Jon Lopez SkyDive Challenge Three months ago I was devastated to learn that a good friend and drinking buddy has inoperable pancreatic cancer. Steve Cook, whom many of you will know, is a keen volunteer coach here at Normandy Cricket Club. For the last few years, he has been dedicated to motivating the Colts to both enjoy and fulfill their cricketing abilities. Liver and pancreatic cancers remain two of the worst cancers in terms of prognosis and survival rates but there is still a scarcity of funds dedicated to research to improve early detection, surgical treatment and adjuvant chemotherapy to improve results & survival. In reflecting Steve’s passion and energy, I felt motivated to do something to help in the fight to make pancreatic cancer more treatable in the foreseeable future, so I chose a 10,000ft free fall challenge ! I will be undertaking this crazy challenge on Sunday 21st September 2014 at the Old Sarum Airfield in Salisbury. The skydive is organised through Southampton Football Club [Saints Foundation Charity] & will raise money for Liver and Pancreatic R&D Cancer research. I hope that you will help me support this worthwhile cause and if you feel able, money can be donated through the Just Giving site below or left in an envelope behind the bar, marked Jon Lopez/Skydive. https://justgiving.com/JONATHAN-LOPEZ/
