Preterite of –car, -gar and –zarverbs • What was the issue we had previously with –car, -gar and –zar verbs in the negative, informal commands? • The problem was with the e • (sacar) No saques (had to change the c to qu to preserve K sound) • (pagar)No pagues (had to add the u between the g and e to preserve the gu sound) • (empezar) No empieces (z never before an e, change it to c)
