  4. Question • Why should the NCAA be able to profit off of student athletes on field performance?

  5. WalMart Overseas factory workers get paid 41 cents/hour NCAA does not pay their workers (student-athletes)

  6. College Scholarship • Consists of: • 1) Free tuition • 2) Free room and board • 3) Free books and merchandise

  7. NO MONEY TO PAY FOR EXPENSES • Student-athletes are still college students • No money to pay for extracurricular activities

  8. NO TIME FOR PART-TIME JOB • College Sport is a full-time job • Full-time College Student

  9. Strength Training/ Film Study • Student-athletes required to put in time in weight room • In season, also required to study film on upcoming opponent

  10. First-Hand Experience • Live with five student athletes • Play football for the University of Cincinnati • Busy from dawn to dusk

  11. Most high profile student-athletes do not come from money • No income from parents Family Background

  12. Selling Memorabilia • Six Ohio State football players suspended for selling merchandise • Sold merchandise for cash
