In combination with new microwave and Optex smart control logic for power saving, VXI enables fairly-long battery life. * In comparison with HX-40RAM/80NRAM, power consumption reduced by approx 40%. • Technical information Interactive Break - In the noisy environment, microprocessor is activated frequently and power consumption is increased. In order to reduce the false alarm in such a usage condition, VXI employs new Shutter Mechanism which automatically reduce one area when using at 90°position to match the corner form.

  16. SMDA Logic 1/2 • PIR auto detection adjustment VXI employs Optex SMDA (Super Multi-Dimension Analysis) logic which significantly reduces false alarm rates and missed detections. The change in environment (temperature change, noise change, etc...) is analyzed and VXI chooses most appropriate detection trigger by selecting from several hundreds detection table according to the environment. SMDA logic enables to distinguish noise from human boy, then PIR's false alarm and missed alarm is prevented.

SMDA Logic 2/2 • PIR Noise Cancellation When noise level is increased, VXI prevents false alarm by changing noise-cut level with keeping the performance of human body detection ability • Vegetation sway analysis logic VXI automatically analyze the signal of microwave and distinguish vegetation sway from human body to prevent the false alarm at outside. • Microwave boost logic for human body detection To make up the deficit of Microwave which is weak at lateral motion detection, VXI adjust the sensitivity of microwave automatically according to the signal of PIR which is strong at lateral motion.

  18. Basic Principles of an Combination Detector Both Microwave and PIR detectors have different physical characteristics. However, PIR technology is of utmost importance in the design of combination detector. Microwave technology is considered to fulfill a complementary role for PIR detector. Combination of PIR and Microwave Characteristics of PIR & Microwave Passive Infrared detector just receives infrared energy which emit from object. On the other hand, Microwave unit continually transmits microwave, and receives signals that are reflected back. PIR detection, combined with microwave technology, allows the generation of an alarm, only when a target is detected by both detection mechanisms simultaneously. <The difference of influence by the false alarm factors between PIR & Microwave>

  19. × Re: Microwave Humidity resistance of microwave detector The weakest point of microwave is that it is very much affected by “MOISTURE”. Moisture is absorbed by the surface of microwave unit under high-humidity environment. Once moisture attaches, the power of microwave transmission gradually decreases.
