TRAN Committee Review • House of Commons Standing Committee on Transport, Infrastructure, and Communities (TRAN Committee) is assessing the impact of aircraft noise in the vicinity of major Canadian airports. • Initiated in October 2018 • Invited representatives from major Canadian airports (Toronto, Vancouver, Montreal, and Calgary) as well as NAV CANADA, aerospace manufacturers, industry experts, Transport Canada, and airlines to speak. • Focus was on aircraft relate noise in vicinity of airports, including night time flights. • A final report is expected early 2019 and once published, the Minister will have 120 days to respond. • http://www.ourcommons.ca/Committees/en/TRAN

Permanent NMT Retrofit – Summer 2019 NMT located in Albert Park/Radisson Heights is scheduled for an equipment upgrade this summer All new NMT installations in 2019 will have “live” noise measurements available on PublicVue World Imagery - Source: Esri, DigitalGlobe, GeoEye, Earthstar Geographics, CNES/Airbus DS, USDA, USGS, AeroGRID, IGN, and the GIS User Community

ACCC Terms of Reference Update • The Terms of Reference (ToR) now include: • Defined roles and responsibilities • Nomination process for new members • Members are responsible for: • Providing their community’s perspective to the ACCC • Ensuring their community members are receiving the ACCC information and updates • Nomination Process for Community Associations: • Board member or president of a Community Association may nominate a resident by emailing community@yyc.com • New members are approved by the Authority in writing • The updated ToR will be made available to members by the • end of this week.
