  2. Our Foundation • We are VERY needy People • Our Biggest Problem is our hearts • We all Struggle with Worship Disorder • We are Ambassadors of Christ!

Love-Know-Speak-DoModel of Ministry • LOVE – Getting to know people - God's purpose is that these relationships would be workrooms in which his work of change can thrive. • KNOW – Discovering where change is needed - Knowing a person means knowing the heart. Friendship is the connection of hearts. The goal is to get below the surface. • SPEAK – Speaking the truth in love - This involves bringing God's truth to bear on this person in this situation. It means helping your friend to see his/her life clearly. Getting them to the mirror of God’s Word. • DO – Applying change to Everyday life - Do something with what she/he learns-to apply the insights God has given to him/her daily life and relationships. God calls your friend not just to be a hearer of his Word, but to be an active doer of it as well.

  5. The 4 Elements of a Loving Ministry Relationship • Enter the persons world. • Incarnate the love of Christ. • Identify with suffering. • Accept with agenda.

  6. Love I • Enter the person’s World.Seeking to understand their real struggles we are conveying that we love them. Galatians 6:2 • Incarnate the Love of Christ. Clothe yourselves with Christ Colossians 3:12-17

Colossians 3:12-14 Put on then, as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, 13 bearing with one another and, if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other; as the Lord has forgiven you, so you also must forgive. 14 And above all these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony. The point of this passage is that God changes people as much by the truth of our words as with how those words of truth are spoken. (Dressed for the Job).

  14. Love IIBuilding Relationships in Which God's Work Will Thrive Related to others: I need to look for the sufferers that God has placed in my path. Have I functioned in their lives as God's agent of comfort?.

  16. Love II Concepts • God ordains for us to suffer so that we would be qualified agents of his comfort and compassion. • God calls us to offer to others the same loving acceptance that he has given us. That acceptance always has change as its goal.

  17. Love II Personalized • Have I tended to hoard the comfort that God has given me? • Am I taking advantage of the opportunities God is giving me to comfort others with the comfort I have received from him? • Have I accepted God's call to participate in his process of lifelong change?

Love II Related to others • I need to look for the sufferers God has placed in my path. • What stories in my own life could be used as examples of the hope and comfort God gives us in suffering? • Right now, where is God giving me the opportunity to offer grace leading to change to another person?
