  3. Project Background • A new way to interact with environment • Like a Kiosk, but better • Personalized experience • Wi-fi, Wall Mountable, Portable • Uses RFID

  4. Scope of project • Create a kiosk like device that would extend users experience through personalization. • Had to implement touch screen • We built the Web Portal that allows you to interface with backend systems • RAD Lab programmed RFID

  5. Problems Encountered • Lack of experience • Item on back order • Did not document GPO details • Lack of or miscommunication • RFID Technical Difficulties

  6. Accomplishments • Voice response • Avoided taboo reformat of node • With RFID technical difficulties, still made working project for display • Completed scope as far as possible and met deadline

  8. Budget $872.80 UNDER BUDGET……BUT - pay cut - didn’t have to make all purchases

  9. Conclusion • Success in making web portal interact with back end server • No RFID access or user type identification -technical difficulties • Success in giving us experience and teaching us lessons
