Funding the Mission • Last year team growth was flat • $1,086 Team Fundraising Average • If our Walks recruited 10 more teams each we would have raised an additional $7M • How many new teams could your Walk committee recruit? • We want our Walks to be the premier Walk in the community with more walkers!

Walk Committee – Team Recruitment Chair • Responsible for recruitment of new Walk teams and the Walk Kickoff • Ability to recruit a committee that can recruit new Walk teams from all sectors of the community and coach the new teams to fundraise through Team Captain engagement • Each committee member is responsible for recruiting a a specific number of new teams

  6. Team Recruitment • Are we setting teams and team members up for success? • On average, it takes a week to raise $100 • 1 month to raise $200 • 2-3 months to raise $300 • When should we be focused on recruiting new teams?

  10. Kickoff Invitations • Recipients should be expecting the invitation • Don’t forget: the location, the date, the time, how long it will last, how to RSVP, the RSVP deadline and other details such as who to contact for more information, if food will be served and the dress code if applicable.

Agenda Call to Action • How many of you are ready to make a real difference against Alzheimer’s? • I mean truly ready? • If you are up for the fight, stand up and let your community know – I want to celebrate you on Walk day, but I also want to celebrate you today. • Stand if you are going to be a Team Captain at this year’s Walk! • Start clapping to celebrate them – keep them standing and get louder in ask • This is exciting – look at all of you that are committed to fighting this disease! • Thank you so much! • I can’t wait to see you and your teams on Walk day.
